Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actress and producer. She has gained recognition for her outstanding roles in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. Holly Hunter has won numerous awards which included her first Oscar for her role in the film Piano. At a young age she began acting on stage in a number of Broadway or Off Broadway productions. She is a lover of acting since when she was in the high school. Her debut role in a show in the fifth grade was in Helen Keller. She was born deaf in the one ear after suffering from Mumps, but she didn't permit this to deter her desire to be an actress. At college, she was a theatre student and later moved from Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania to New York City in pursuit of her dream. Hunter came across Beth Henley by chance in the lift. Together, they wrote Broadway Crimes of the Heart. This was Hunter's acting debut. When she moved into Los Angeles she tried to get film roles and bagged an acting role as a support in Swing Shift. Since then, she has appeared in several movies, television shows and movies over the course of her 30-year career. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was also awarded an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
