Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is an American producer and actress who has been recognized by her highly commendable performances in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The movie Piano won her several awards which included an Oscar. She began her career as an actor on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. In her early years, Helen Keller was her favorite character in a 5th year show. Following a bout of Mumps, she was deaf on one side the ear. This didn't stop her from pursuing her dream to be an actress. When she was a teenager She studied acting before moving in New York City. Hunter was able to make her Broadway debut after an unplanned conversation and Beth Henley, a playwright. They collaborated in Broadway Crimes of the Heart. Her first film role came when she moved from Los Angeles. In the three decades since then she has appeared in many films, TV shows and movies. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame star as well as a winner of the Women in Film Lucy Award.
