Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is a famous American actor and producer. She has been recognized for her stellar performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano, and The Incredibles. Her film Piano was awarded an Oscar. The successful actress began her career in acting on the stage by performing in a myriad of Broadway as well as Off-Broadway productions. The actress is a lover of acting ever since when she was in the high school. Her debut role in a play in fifth grade was in Helen Keller. The mumps caused her to lose her hearing in one of her ears, but this didn't stop the actress from fulfilling her dream. The college she attended was drama before moving to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania to New York City to follow her dreams. Hunter came across Beth Henley by chance in the lift. They wrote together Broadway Crimes of the Heart. The play was Hunter's first acting debut. After moving to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to find film roles. The role of a supporting actress was securing for her in Swing Shift. For the past 30 years Holly Hunter has been on various TV series and movies. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame star as well as a winner of the Women in Film Lucy Award.
